Khutbah Corner
This project will enable all high school MSA’s to have proper khutbahs every Friday, insha’Allah. KhutbahCorner.com will be composed of a 9-month curriculum of khutbahs, with themes for each month, outlines, complete word-for-word khutbahs, printable index cards, and YouTube videos of a brother actully giving the khutbah. This site will make it easier for the high school khateeb to reach his audience in a more effective and professional manner.

Tutoring Service
Crescent Youth’s tutoring service will be aimed at students in middle and high school. It will debut in a beta phase at Masjid at-Taqwa with qualified brother and sister volunteers tutoring in subjects such as calculus, geometry, algebra, biology, physics, chemistry, english, and history. To be sure that this service is in demand, it will begin initially at Masjid at-Taqwa for a 3-month trial after which Crescent Youth will assess its feasibility. If it is successful, we will launch tutoring services at all major masajid in Houston insha’Allah. In addition, to maintain a level of quality and professionalism, after the 3-month trial is complete, the tutors will roll over into a paid part-time position.

Umrah Trip
The annual Umrah trip co-ordinated by Br. Irtiza Hasan, will now be co-ordinated by Crescent Youth with direction and supervision by Br. Irtiza. The trip will remain the same and the quality will be above awesome, as usual. Their will be subtle difference in the quality, marketing, and perhaps even the price of the trip and with the help of the entire CY team the differences will be consistent and long-term, insha'Allah.

We hope with effective planning and coordination, Crescent Youth will be able to subsidize the cost of the Umrah trip for 2008 for several students and will be able to provide free trips in 2009 for a few students, insha'Allah.

Youth Hotline
This dream will, insha’Allah, be realized soon. With the help of the Muslim Youth Helpline in the United Kindom and the Crisis Hotline of Texas, Crescent Youth will have a helpline geared specifically towards young Muslims. The service will start off initially as a chat service, and after a few months will roll over into a fully functional phone line. Volunteer counselors will undergo training similar to that of the Muslim Youth Helpline in the UK with an added track from the Crisis Hotline and various mental health professionals in Houston. The initial target of the service will be Muslim youth in Houston and then in Texas insha’Allah.
