Our Programs

Family Nights
Our Family Nights consist of four parts: lecture, entertainment for children, socializing, and plenty of food. The premise behind these programs is to gather the community once a month for an evening of learning Islam in a great social environment suited for the entire family. Each month's topic is duplicated to each of the masajid hosting a Family Night, in order to maximize the benefit of the program. The program is also occasionaly coupled with an “out of the box” event such as a wildlife show, hurricane awareness, or fire safety session.

The present Family Night schedule is as follows:
1st Friday of the month: Masjid Al-Mustafa
2nd Friday of the month: Masjid As-Sabireen
3rd Friday of the month: Masjid Hamza
4th Friday of the month: Masjid Bilal

(more masajid to come soon insha'Allah)

For more information on Family Nights please contact the co-ordinator in your area or email us at info@crescentyouth.com.

Friday Programs
Crescent Youth’s Friday Programs typically consist of basketball, football, dodgeball, archery, board games or whatever the people want to do, and a short talk after maghrib salat. After the talk is over we usually have plenty of food lined up to bring everything full circle. The focus of our Friday programs is not to have intense halaqa’s, but to gather young Muslims at the masjid for fun, food, and a little bit of knowledge to constantly improve one's self. For more information on Friday Programs in your area please email your local co-ordinator from the listings here.

Currently, Friday Programs take place EVERY Friday at Masjid As-Sabireen, Masjid At-Taqwa, and Masjud ul-Mumineen.

(more masajid to come soon insha'Allah)

Night Program
Our night program is exactly tha, a night program. They typically begin at 10:30pm and last all the way until fajr with a brief talk in the middle and food afterwards. There is rarely any breakfast, but light food such as pizza or sandwich rolls are provided after the talk. At our night programs we usually have basketball, football, wrestling, and sometimes even an Xbox or Playstation. For more information on night programs please contact the co-ordinator in your area or email us at info@crescentyouth.com.

The present Night Program schedule is as follows:
1st Saturday of the month: Masjid As-Sabireen

(more masajid to come soon insha'Allah)

For more information on Night Programs in your area please email your local co-ordinator from the listings here.
Sisters Only Programs
There isn’t ANY program for sisters like a program where ONLY sisters are allowed. Basketball, archery, football, board games, interactive games, exclusive question and answer sessions, skating, bowling, bonfires, and much more are typical of Crescent Youth’s sisters programs. The sister co-ordinators in Crescent Youth do as much as they can to satisfy the growing desire of Muslim sisters in Houston to get out and do something more than the brothers. If you have any program suggestions or would like to assist in a sisters program, please contact the sister’s co-ordinator in your area or email info@crescentyouth.com.

Sporting/Outdoors
Basketball, football, horseback riding, archery, and camping are just a sampling of our outdoor programs. We’re continuously holding all sorts of sporting tournaments and take a trip once a year to the great outdoors for 3 days of camping. Crescent Youth’s programs are primarily based around some sport or game whether it be basketball or mafia. For more information on future events please contact the co-ordinator in your area or email us at info@crescentyouth.com.

Workshops
Sometimes 30 minutes in a halaqa isn’t enough to learn what we need to know. For that reason Crescent Youth holds several “how to…” oriented workshops throughout the year on various subjects such dawah, career paths, education, speaking, and more. Our workshops are professional, very organized, and taught by qualified people. We keep them as central as possible to maximize the benefit throughout the city and more than often they include food, materials, and fun without any cost involved. For more information on our workshops please contact the co-ordinator in your area or email us at info@crescentyouth.com.
